Purdue Healthcare Advisors and Critical Access Hospitals
Purdue Healthcare Advisors (PHA) is working with 14 Critical Access Hospitals across Indiana to introduce new “lean” processes. These very small hospitals are facing enormous challenges. Some are part of larger healthcare systems that are reorganizing. Others are facing major financial challenges. They chronically have difficulty recruiting and retaining medical staff.
Yet, these hospitals provide essential health care services in rural communities.
PHA has turned to our work in the Agile Strategy Lab to assist them in deepening a culture of collaboration within these hospitals. We are currently working with PHA to design two workshops, one in January involving six hospitals and one in February involving for hospitals.
In the process, we are also training the PHA staff on the essential skills of Strategic Doing. We will provide an update after the workshops.
