Jo’Anne Langham
Jo’Anne is passionate about making innovation and creativity accessible for everyone. She has 25 years of experience in innovation and in leading human-centred design teams. She has mentored and trained service designers, facilitators and researchers for 20 years.
During her work in industry Jo’Anne established research and design teams and led large scale public sector design projects. She was awarded the prestigious ATO Commissioner’s Scholarship in 2010 and has won organisational awards for technical excellence in design and innovation. Jo’Anne has successfully started several design consultancies and is the primary founder and designer of the SparkTank Platform. Jo’Anne has been instrumental in several public sector innovation projects including the Compliance Effectiveness Methodology, Experience Effectiveness Framework and the largest Australian government fairness evaluation research program.
Jo’Anne teaches innovation and entrepreneurship, advanced statistics, leadership and user-centred design at the University of Queensland. She has a Master of Philosophy in economic psychology and a PhD in service design and evaluation of citizen experiences (impact evaluation).
