The Lab Provides Support to Purdue CareerMaker
Purdue CareerMaker is an exciting new initiative to develop innovative solutions to the growing workforce challenges faced by employers in Indiana. With multiple sites throughout Indiana, Purdue will be engaging employers to design new career pathways that are specifically tailored to their needs. This demand–driven approach to education requires close collaboration between the Purdue Institute and regional employers.
By definition, the shape of each regional collaboration will be different. At the same time, across multiple sites in Indiana, it is possible to develop a common discipline to design and guide these collaborations toward measurable outcomes.
That’s why the designers of Purdue CareerMaker, Geanie Umberger and Doreen Gonzalez-Gaboyan, turned to the Lab for training in agile strategy. As our work with Purdue CareerMaker develops, we will report our progress.
The Founder of the Lab at UNA and co-author of Strategic Doing: 10 Skills for Agile Leadership, Ed’s work has focused on developing new models of strategy specifically designed to accelerate complex collaboration in networks and open innovation. He is the original developer of Strategic Doing.
